St. Patrick’s Day Block Party & Parade – Park Circle
The St. Patrick’s Day Block Party & Parade is almost here! Park Circle’s largest gathering of green clothing will congregate along East Montague in Park Circle’s Olde Village district. Last year, the block party and parade celebrated their 10th year with one of the largest attended festivals in the low country, but this years festivities are aiming to top it! The fun starts at noon on Saturday, March 15, 2014 and will kick off with the annual St. Paddy’s Day Parade featuring the Charleston Police Pipes and Drums. Once that is complete, you and thousands of other revelers will engage in a block party of all block party’s! There will be three stages of live music, activities for the kids, food and product vendors as well as a mechanical bull! The block party lasts until 7pm, so make sure to pace yourself and drink plenty of “fluids”. If you are planning on attending, there is parking located in the middle of the Circle, which is just a short walk to the party from there. East Montague will be closed between Jenkins Ave. and Virginia Ave., so plan accordingly! For more information on the event visit the St. Paddy’s Day Facebook Event page here.
