Charleston Marathon 2018
The annual Charleston Marathon is back and it’s taking place on Saturday, January 13th. The marathon route snakes through a number of Park Circle streets, so now would be a good time to review the course and plans if it’s going to affect your route! Here is a close-up map of the streets that will be closed from 7am to 3pm.
If you were here in 2017, you should expect the same road closures and delays, but just know that these temporary delays are for the greater good, because the marathon benefits local non-profit “Engaging Creative Minds” that assist public school students across the tri-county area with school art experiences! After the race, you can join the runners at the post-race celebration at the finish line near the North Charleston High School. The celebration will include an awards ceremony, free shrimp and grits, beer/mimosas, live music, and a family fun area with bounce houses! See the full schedule below:
