Charleston Restaurant Week – Cork Bistro & Basico

Charleston Restaurant Week is here again and it is going to be fun-filled 12 days of eating!   This is your chance to try out all those restaurants you have always wanted to try and not break the bank!  From September 4 to September 15, 2013 a number of Charleston restaurants will be offering prix fixe menus consisting of 3 or more items for one price!  I am happy to say that Park Circle was well represented with your choice of two very cool restaurants.

1) Basico – A taqueria specializing in seasonal fare that is locally grown and produced, this nose-to-tail practicing restaurant’s name practices what it preaches – getting back to the basics. Básico is Spanish for basic or primary and that’s what their kitchen espouses; start with the basic, freshest products, using the fundamental techniques and the result is a flavorful feast.

2) Cork Neighborhood Bistro – a small, neighborhood, casual eating establishment known for serving hearty, simple fare.  The menu is both locally and seasonally inspired and changes regularly based on local, fresh foods that are in season.
